Pj at the Camera

I’ve been running around with video cameras since I was barely big enough to hold one, shooting makeshift music videos and action figure star vehicles like every other ’80s kid. Things didn’t get serious until I started dabbling in video journalism in the mid-2000s, producing short-form segments for various websites, and I was fully bitten by the filmmaking bug after winning a query contest in 2009, which led to the development of my original TV pilot, Being (which was also a Round 2 finalist in the 2018 ATX Pitch Competition).

Since then, I co-wrote and co-directed the short film Sugarhook as part of the 48 Hour Film Project, created the docu-series micro-pilot Las Vegas Rules, and completed the short film Namaste as part of the 2019 AT&T Create-a-Thon. My debut feature-length film, the documentary Parkway of Broken Dreams, won “Best Documentary” awards at several film festivals and has been distributed to national public television stations as well as Amazon, Tubi, iTunes, and other streaming services. Among other projects, I’m developing a TV drama, The Foundation, based on my long-running webcomic series The Utopian (the pilot for which was a finalist in the 27th annual TVWriter People’s Pilot contest), and recently started production on another documentary feature, Murdered on the Fourth of July.
